Guess is celebrating the life and heritage of model Anna Nicole Smith with a new Guess Originals collection and they got Sydney Sweeney to re-create some of the iconic ads from the 90’s! Think Sydney is doing a good job but Anna Nicole Smith was just on a different level back then.

Anna’s life was a bit of a mess but at her peak she was stunningly gorgeous. I remember seeing the Playboy issue showing the playmates from that year and asking readers to vote on which should be Playmate of the Year, and I saw her picture and thought “No one else has a chance.” (And there were some great-looking women that year.)

Other than blonde hair, this chick looks nothing like Anna Nicole Smith. The former is listed at 5’3″, 110lbs and (may) have natural “D” cups. The latter was 5’11, weight north of 140lbs, and had big ‘ole implants. Certainly not a knock on Sydney Sweeney (who’s certainly attractive), I just don’t see any noteworthy resemblance. *shrugs*

Oh damn–what a blast from the past! When I was in high school I literally had a stash of US News and World Report in my desk because of Anna Nicole’s Guess ads. When Vicky Smith eventually came out in Playboy, I remember driving to another town to buy that one. Did the same to get the VHS video profile for Tiffany Sloan which featured Vicky as well! That body was just insane! I do prefer them natural, but her fakes were well done for the time.
