Love Sophia Vergara, but her accent is irritating. I watch “Modern Family” and her accent is so bad that I thought it was fake.

The way this “joke” played out is not funny no matter what angle you approach it from!
whether or not you think the joke itself was funny, the timing of it is interesting. whoopi goldberg had recently defended roman polanski–who has been, until recently, evading arrest for a statutory rape charge which includes the allegation that he had drugged the victim. i think the timing of vergara’s “joke” is wonderful, because (at least to me) it makes whoopi look like an ass.
and reality check–**actual** rape isn’t funny.
