Book Review: 3DD (Boobs in 3D)

“We could have thrown in some academic analysis on the prominent role of the nude in the history of art and elaborated on the ways that 3DD advances that canon. Or we could have reveled in the universal truth that looking at and talking about boobs is just a lot of fun.”

It is very easy to sum up 3DD in a single sentence. It is a book of natural breasts in various shapes and sizes and shot in 3D by New York based photographer Henry Hargreaves. I was honestly sceptical because when it comes to 3D I usually think it detracts more than it adds to the experience. However, 3D boobs should be better than 2D boobs though, right?

The photos are all shot in black and white which I think was a good idea because when you look at anything through red and blue filters the colours are ruined anyway. The style of the photos are very much art rather than explicit and I’d have no problems leaving this book out on a coffee table for anyone to see (well, maybe not mom). Most of these photos could be seen in an art gallery which doesn’t mean that they are boring, some of them are quite amazing and works both as art and as a turn-on.

The boobs come in all shapes and sizes, but I’d say most of them range from average to huge rather than small, but they do have one thing in common. They are all 100% natural! There is a nice mix of close up shots and full body shots but each photo is very much a celebration of boobs specifically. All the girls at least partly hide their faces which obviously draw your attention even more to the boobs.

So, what about the 3D? The book comes with 3D glasses and I don’t know if itÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s just my eyes or what but when I first put them on I did not see any 3D what so ever. I started to look through the book and I don’t know why but when I turned the page and saw a girl leaning forward on a couch it was like something clicked in my brain and I got the full 3D effect which was AWESOME! All of a sudden I could see the 3D and I have to say that it does add a lot to each of the photos. It gives you a new and unique look at boobs and more importantly, it delivers on what the foreword says: ItÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s fun to look at boobs and I plan to re-visit my favourite 3D boob photos often.
