Casually hooking up with people for many is the sort of thing you hear about from stories in magazines or see in television shows and movies. It’s rarely something most of us ever think about ourselves or even consider but over the past few years it seems more and more are now dipping their toe in the casual dating pool. Isn’t it about time you did too?

While we’re all very familiar with the idea of hitting the bars and clubs in hope of getting lucky, believe it or not dating sites have continued to prove popular and successful even in the casual dating sector. Not only is it much more relaxed chatting to new people from the comfort of your own home or even mobile phone, but it’s also a hell of a lot easier to meet women looking for sex. Remember to be absolutely honest when it comes to talking about yourself. This applies both online or if you meet someone randomly in a bar or club. There’s no point telling a guy or girl that you’re looking for something serious if you’re not. There’s certainly no benefit to lying about your interests be it sexually or other. Bottom line is whatever fabricated line it is you spin, you will be eventually found out. And after all, what’s the point in simply trying to tell the other person what they want to hear when it’s not going to make you completely happy anyways.

Remember first impressions are everything and this is no more evident than with casual hook-ups especially since the time you have is much more limited than if it were a long term thing.

While the term casual dating makes it seem like you can be exactly that – casual, the exact opposite is in fact true. Don’t show up all scruffy and head over to your local fast food joint. Treat your casual encounter as if it were any other dating situation (of course with the guarantee of sex by the end of it). That means making the effort – throw on a shirt or dress, take a shower beforehand and go to a nice establishment. After all if things do end up in the bedroom, hygiene is very important for both parties.

Then of course safety is something to consider. It’s easy to get lost in all the excitement of having one passionate night with a complete stranger, but it’s important to remain safe too whether it be by taking the necessary precautions during sex or just in general when meeting a person. I don’t really need to go into detail on how to stay safe between the sheets I’m sure, but before you even reach this point make sure you’re in or going to somewhere you feel familiar and safe in.

All in all, casual dating can be great fun. The carefree nature of it all is extremely appealing and it’s no wonder more and more people are venturing into this lifestyle. While at first it may seem daunting, with enough practice and know-how you’ll soon be living the life like a pro.
