A woman like Jayne Mansfield has a 40 inch ribcage so she has a 40 before her cup size. A woman with the same size ribcage but tits that only protrude 1 inch away from those ribs would be a 40A.
You also said that stores don’t measure the same way and as an example you said that a woman who is a DD in one store would be an E elsewhere. That too is incorrect, sort of. A woman who is a DD would be an E elsewhere…yeah, but that’s because it’s the same size. Bra sizes measure the same. A DD and an E are the same size, they’re just named differently, but not because they use different measurements. It’s like saying 5/10th or 1/2.
