Candy Loving was planning to attend the University of Oklahoma as a journalism major when her husband (now divorced) urged her to submit her photo to Playboy’s 25th Anniversary Great Playmate Hunt. Hugh Hefner has credited Candy with helping to revitalize the image of the Playmate as the “girl next door”. She later earned her bachelor’s degree and pursued a graduate degree in human relations. She moved to Florida in 1984, where she now works in the health insurance industry.
