The Modern Definition of a Nympho

We have all heard the word ‘nympho’, which is a short abbreviation of ‘nymphomaniac’. Most of us associate it with women who just can’t get enough sex, but the reality is that the term actually was created to coin an illness that involves sex addiction and out of control compulsions. In fact the real definition of a nymphomaniac isn’t something positive, but yet we keep seeing the word being used on naughty sites like it’s a good thing. That is because people who use the word nympho often refer to something lesser; so let’s take a look at the contemporary meaning behind the word as we all know it today.

The older meaning
Going back one hundred years or even more, there wasn’t much women could do without having men branding and name-calling them. It makes sense within that optic that some men would want to brand women as being ill when all women wanted to do was to enjoy themselves and benefit from the same things men used to. It was good for a man to want sex but as soon as a woman did the same then it was another story altogether. Men could not accept that and they would do anything in their power to put them down. Luckily even though some societies still do it, the modern world is evolving away from this oppressive mentality; and in the modern world, the word nympho now means something different.

The modern meaning
With all the sex dating and porn sites we can now find online, a nympho really refers to a woman who has a great appetite for sex; and for a lot of men that is exactly what they are looking for. In fact a lot of dating sites encourage nympho women to subscribe to their services, as they will find plenty of men who will want to have fun with them. If you look online, you can find local nymphos in the US @ no-strings-sex.com/us/nymphos; or in fact many other sex dating sites. Men love women who enjoy sex, and the word nympho now brings a smile on men’s faces, as opposed to that judgemental look people had back in the days.

A belligerent term?
There are a lot of words like nympho or even slut that feel like they are being used in a negative connotation, and sometimes they are. But as people are evolving, we are finding out a couple of things:

1) Men can also be called sluts too, we see that the term is not just used on women anymore. Modern societies have ways to shrink the gap between men and women, and whilst there are still a lot of old school sexists out there, a lot more men don’t wish to antagonise women by calling them names. The words ‘slut’ or ‘nympho’ are now used in a much light-hearted way.

2) Going by the same principle of equality, then men can also be nymphos too! There are more than enough men who deal with sex addiction, something they feel compelled to do. So going by the old standards, if it is an illness, then men can have it too.

So the bottom line comes down to this: The meaning of the word ‘nympho’ depends very much on who says it, and whilst there are people out there who use it as a negative term, there are a lot more men who truly see it as a good thing. Of course we don’t want to see a woman completely losing it to her impulses, but we really do like the idea that women can be into sex. So when the word ‘nympho’ comes from the mouth of a good person, it’s not like they trying to put women down; but rather because they are interested in having some fun!

People use these terms nowadays coz they like feeling dirty themselves or secretly envy or desire those the judge. But there’s people out there who’ll hurt themselves for the sake of sex. Agree to not using protection, hook up with shady characters, their physical and social life getting messed up. Those are true manias and it’s nothing to get excited over.
But enough thinking for one day. My penis hurts
