Remember these sexy Lucy Pinder Lynx ads? Well, they have now been banned in the UK for degrading women and treating them as sex objects. I’m surprised because I always thought the UK was really liberal with stuff like this?
In a ruling published today, the watchdog said: ‘We considered that the various activities that Ms Pinder carried out were presented in a sexually provocative way, and that alongside the focus on Ms Pinder’s cleavage … were likely to be seen as gratuitous and to objectify women.

How is that sexist? I cook dinner for girls all the time dressed almost exactly the same. Double standards I tell ya.
The UK’s legislation and wider society is generally quite liberal with things like this; individual bodies such as the ASA – Advertising Standards Agency – who are responsible for this ban, can be far less accommodating at times. They’re also incredibly inconsistent. As is proven here…
They are very liberal that’s the problem .liberals (scocialitsts) love to control and one way to control people is by repressing there free speech and sexuality .
Given that girls like Lucy make a living out of being sex objects, it seems absolutely cruel to deny them their lot in life. If women want to be objectified, then people ought to just keep their mouths shut.
Some radical women organization probably put a lot of heat on them and they took it down.

You’re applying American terms to British politics. That’s a no no.
In the UK the Liberals are what you’d consider Republican-lite in the USA. Labour would be more or less the “socialists.” The US doesn’t have any true socialist parties in any position of power, unless you listen to rightwing dregs like Beck and Fox News. Also last time I checked leftwing parties didn’t have a monopoly on trying to control people and the things they do either.
All that aside, this is hardly degrading. People need to learn to grow up, though Tdog is probably right and in that case those groups are hardly grown up about anything these days.

I am guessing its because of the line “can she make you lose control” could be seen as blamming women for being raped by implying its there fault because they so hawt. Right wing people control sexuality and speech with all the crap about the nucleur family and morality.
There’s something unbelievably funny about having a problem showing a hot girl, still clothed, engaged in domestic chores, but having no problem showing that same woman, with her magnificent boobs out for the world to see and for guys to jack off to. Not that there’s anything wrong with that either, but it’s just amusing.
